Jenny D Green is a British, New York-based Producing Artist and Actor, with a special interest in costume. She is a recent Applicant to the Theatrical Wardrobe Union, IATSE Local 764. She was recognised for Outstanding Costume Design for a Full Production at the Midtown International Theatre Festival 2012 for her work on the World Premiere of “Final Analysis”. Jenny trained at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts, under the expert direction of Steven Daniel where she assisted in costume design and wardrobe supervision on hundreds of productions. And she studied “Life Drawing for Costume Design” at FIT with Joan Chiverton. 
Jenny has designed costumes for all of The OPTimistiks productions, including their Panto at Dixon Place, their NYC tribute to Victoria Wood and new web comedies “The Handyman’s Tool” and “Corrie in the Hood”. Additionally she has enjoyed assisting and running wardrobe for award-winning designer Niiamar Felder. As Producing Artist at Manhattan Theatre Source, Jenny was Costume Designer for “The Crucible” and “Billy Carver & the Children in Mind”, along with various shows for the First Irish Festival. She also supervised wardrobe for numerous other Source productions including “JuniorGenius”, “TestoGenius” and “OscarPalooza”, and worked as Dresser for American Thymele Theatre’s “Rhesus”. She provided Costume Design for documentary “Casting By” and music video “Cinderella Falling” for Margaret Bernstein.

Jenny is passionate about the visual and has a keen eye for detail and historical accuracy. As a professional theatre practitioner, with a degree in History, she will research your time period to evoke the era of your production. In consultation with the creative team she will take the time to ensure each cast member is personally fitted in suitable style, whilst sustaining a strong, design throughline with a careful eye on budgets. From hats to handbags, spats to scarves, Jenny will take care of all the wardrobe elements of your production, including maintenance and repair, once the show is up and running or on set.
